Fresh Food Distribution
Outer West is proud to partner with the San Antonio Food Bank to provide fresh and non-perishable food to families in need—and we’d love for you to be part of it!
Join us on Saturday, October 4 for the Fresh Food Distribution, where we’ll serve up to 250 local families.
Time Commitment: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
You’ll be part of a team putting together food packages with care for our neighbors in need.
There will be multiple teams working together, so come ready to serve, connect, and make a real impact in our community!
Volunteers must be 14+ (those under 18 will need a signed waiver from a guardian).
Let’s show our city what love in action looks like.
Foster Info Gathering
The South Texas Alliance for Orphans educates and equips churches to support children and families affected by the foster care system in numerous ways. Believing that every church has a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, they provide essential resources and guidance to foster meaningful change.
Join us October 12th at 12:30 PM as we host The Alliance and discuss how each of us can join in ending the crisis facing foster children and their families in our community.
Lunch and childcare will be provided.
Trunk or Treat
Join us for Trunk Or Treat at Outer West!
Bring the whole family out on Friday, October 24th, from 6PM-8PM for an evening packed with fun, food, and candy! Stroll through our parking lot filled with creatively decorated trunks, some mini games, and more. Plus, kids can fill their bags with candy or small toys at each stop! Come hungry—food trucks will be onsite! And don’t forget to dress up in your favorite costume and make some sweet memories with us. We can’t wait to see you there!
We're also looking for Trunk Hosts to make our event special to members of the community who visit. Trunk Hosts decorate their vehicle trunk with friendly/fun decorations, games, face painting, costumes, etc. that engage children as they walk around our parking lot. Hosts give out candy or a small toy to kids as they stop at their trunk.
Baptism Sunday
Here at Outer West Community Church, we like to say that baptism is an outward expression of an inward change - a way to share your faith in Jesus publicly. Being baptized shows others that you've decided to follow Jesus and allows others to celebrate the decision with you.
Our next baptism Sunday will be Sunday, October 26th!

Child Dedication & Class
Parenting in the early stages can be challenging, but with the right guidance and intentionality, parents can help to build a strong spiritual foundation for their children.
That's why we're excited to invite you, as parents, to register for our Fall Child Dedication service on November 9, 2025.
To take part in Child Dedication, parents must attend our Child Dedication Parent class on November 2, 2025, immediately following the end of second service.
Guatemala Mission Trip
Through our partnership with Food for the Hungry, twice a year our church sends a team of people to our partner community in Guatemala, Acamal I. This trip is a great way to witness the work that God is doing in Acamal I and experience the love of God through the people in that community.

Worship Night
Come join us Wednesday, September 3rd at 6:30pm for a special night of worship and prayer.
We’ll sing, pray, and create space to be still in God’s presence—together as a church family.

Labor Day Bash
What better way to celebrate Labor Day, Back to School, and the End of Summer than with an OWCC Party?
Join us for Labor Day Bash on Sunday, August 31st, from 10am - 1pm at OWCC.
There’s fun for all ages! We’ll have food trucks, games, bounce houses, water inflatables, and live music.
Kids/Students: bring a towel and swimsuit.
All are invited - bring a friend, neighbor, coworker, whoever!

Alpha
Explore life, faith, and meaning in a welcoming environment. Share a meal, meet new friends, and ask your big questions.
(Thursdays, 6:30–8:30pm, dinner provided)
Emotionally Healthy Spirituality (EHS)
Learn how to slow down, embrace emotional health, and deepen your relationship with Jesus through an 8-week journey.
Financial Peace University (FPU)
Gain practical tools to budget, pay off debt, and experience peace in your finances by following biblical principles.
Rooted
Go on a 10-week discipleship journey where faith moves from head knowledge to daily rhythms that transform your life.
Outer West Groups
At OWCC, we value meeting in smaller groups to draw closer to Jesus Christ and to each other.
Our Groups meet in the fall and spring, typically consisting of 6-12 people.
Life Groups provide welcoming and hospitable environments for studying scripture and discussing life's issues, celebrations, and challenges. Members of Life Groups support one another through prayer and care.
Hill Country Flood Volunteer Oppurtunity
As our Hill Country neighbors work to rebuild after the recent devastating flood, you can make a difference.
Although local volunteer access has been limited due to high demand, Samaritan’s Purse is currently accepting volunteers for same-day and overnight shifts to help with home rebuilding efforts.

Gather your girlfriends and come unwind with us for an evening full of creativity, laughter, and connection. We’ll provide the appetizers, the supplies, and the atmosphere - you just bring yourself and a friend! Whether you’re an experienced artist or just in it for the fun, this night is for women 16 and up (minors must be accompanied by an adult). Spots are limited, and this one’s sure to be a favorite!

Live It Out with us at Outer West Kids Camp '25. Kids Camp is a hands-on, memorable week that will allow kids to grow their faith as they discover how to love like Jesus!
Kids, grades K-5*, are invited to join us at Outer West Kids Camp '25! Sign your kids up for three days of fun, laughter, and God’s Word! Followed by a family event to serve our community.

ALPHA MONTH
This May, join us on Sunday mornings as we explore the Alpha Film Series together. Each week, we’ll watch a thought-provoking episode followed by time to reflect, share, and dive into meaningful conversations. After the service, stick around to keep the conversation going, grab a bite from a local food truck, and connect with others in the community.
Good Friday Service
This Good Friday, we invite you to join us for a deeply reflective and moving experience — our Tenebrae service.
Tenebrae, meaning "Shadows," is a centuries-old tradition, a late-night service that invites us into the darkness of the cross.
Through Scripture readings, quiet reflection, and soft worship, we’ll journey together through the crucifixion story. It's a time to sit in the heaviness of Christ's sacrifice, to reflect, to lament, and to experience the weight of His love for us.
Outer West Kids will be available for children ages 4 & under during the service.
SA Food Bank Fresh Food Distribution
Outer West is proud to collaborate with the San Antonio Food Bank to provide fresh and non-perishable food items to support local families in need.
FRESH FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Our gate opens to the public at 8:15 AM.
The Food Distribution will run from 9:00 - 11:00 AM, however distribution will close earlier if food has been fully distributed.
RECEIVE FOOD
Any person(s) experiencing food insecurity are welcome to pick up food boxes.
Food is available for any person/family in need; you do not need to be a member or attendee of Outer West.
Please register in advance to receive food. Registration closes on Thursday, March 27th, or when capacity is reached.
If you are unable to register beforehand, you can come directly to Outer West on Saturday, March 29th, where onsite registration will be available.

Christmas Eve at Outer West
Join us Christmas Eve, December 24th, for a special candlelight service remembering Jesus’ birth.
We will have three services 2pm, 3:30pm, and 5pm.
Outer West Kids will be available for kids (3 months through 5th grade). Special needs program available by request.
