Ash Wednesday: Night of Worship
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent— A season of reflection, repentance, and renewal. Join us on February 18 at 6:30 PM for a Night of Worship as we slow down, create space to pray, and remember our deep need for God’s grace. This will be a meaningful time to pause and re-center our hearts as we enter the Lenten season.
Childcare will not be available.

At Outer West, we believe the church is at its best when everyone is seen, known, and welcomed. That’s why we’re excited to begin a new chapter of Special Needs Ministry, rooted in our commitment to live in compassionate community where everyone belongs.

Parents Night Out
Parents, take the night off!
Bring your kids to Outer West Community Church and enjoy a few hours to yourself. Whether you’re planning a date night, catching up on errands, or just getting some quiet time, we’ve got your kids covered. They’ll enjoy games, activities, and snacks in a safe, welcoming environment while you get a chance to breathe and reset!
Register today and provide important information about your kid(s) who will be attending.
*Please make sure children have had dinner before they arrive. Outer West will only provide light snacks and beverages during Parents Night Out.

Here at Outer West Community Church, we like to say that baptism is an outward expression of an inward change - a way to share your faith in Jesus publicly. Being baptized shows others that you've decided to follow Jesus and allows others to celebrate the decision with you.

Students Camp 2026
We are thrilled to announce that we’re gearing up for Students Camp 2026, and we’re heading back to Camp Zephyr this summer!
Dates: July 13–17, 2026
Join us for Students Camp 2026, an exhilarating 5-day, 4-night adventure packed with fun, meaningful moments, and opportunities to grow deeper in your faith, your relationship with Jesus, and your connection with other students.
Grow Your Faith
Immerse yourself in an environment designed to nurture spiritual growth. Students will engage with God’s Word, experience powerful worship and prayer, and hear transformative messages from pastors and worship leaders. Small group discussions will create space for meaningful conversations and lasting connections.
Activities & Events
Get ready for an action-packed week! Are you brave enough to tackle the Ropes Challenge Course? Take the plunge with the Inflatable Iceberg or The Blob. Looking for something competitive? Try Archery Tag or Paintball. Plus, enjoy tomahawk throwing, kayaking, swimming, two exciting water slides, possible silent disco nights, and so much more!
***DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION***
All registrations must be complete by June 7, 2026. An initial $100 deposit get's your Student registered. Final payments due by July 9, 2026.
In addition to completing this registration form, families must also complete a required waiver and a separate registration through Camp Zephyr. Registration is not complete until both are finished. Links to the waiver and Camp Zephyr registration will be sent directly to you in your confirmation email after submitting this form.
We can’t wait for another unforgettable summer at Camp Zephyr. It’s going to be an incredible week!
Child Dedication
Parenting in the early stages can be challenging, but with the right guidance and intentionality, parents can help to build a strong spiritual foundation for their children. That's why we're excited to invite you, as parents, to join us for our Fall Child Dedication service on February 8, 2026.
Please register each parent and participating children only. (Siblings who are not being dedicated do not need to be registered).
To take part in Child Dedication, parents must commit to completing the at home Child Dedication Parenting course before February 8, 2026. Instructions and course content will be provided via email, after registration.
Special Needs Interest Meeting
Our Special Needs Ministry is growing, and we’re looking for volunteers who want to be part of what God is doing!
Kids and students with special needs often need extra support to help them fully engage in church, and if you’re curious about this ministry and how you can get involved, we’d love for you to join us!

Fresh Food Distribution
Outer West is proud to partner with the San Antonio Food Bank to provide fresh and non-perishable food to families in need—and we’d love for you to be part of it!
Join us on Saturday, January for the Fresh Food Distribution, where we’ll serve up to 250 local families.
Time Commitment: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
You’ll be part of a team putting together food packages with care for our neighbors in need.
There will be multiple teams working together, so come ready to serve, connect, and make a real impact in our community!
Volunteers must be 14+ (those under 18 will need a signed waiver from a guardian).

Whether you are a soon-to-be mom, first-time mom, or a seventh-time mom, you are welcome here. Whether you are an adoptive mom, young mom, seasoned mom, military mom, stepmom, or any other type of mom, you are welcome here.
We meet on the first and third Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 AM, beginning January 15th.

Outer West Groups
At OWCC, we value meeting in smaller groups to draw closer to Jesus Christ and to each other.
Our Groups meet in the fall and spring, typically consisting of 6-12 people.
Life Groups provide welcoming and hospitable environments for studying scripture and discussing life's issues, celebrations, and challenges. Members of Life Groups support one another through prayer and care.
Rooted - New Year Sermon Series
Rooted is a new sermon series beginning January 11 that invites us to slow down and anchor our lives in Scripture.
In a world shaped by noise and distraction, this series will focus on what it means to be deeply rooted in God’s Word, formed by it, guided by it, and sustained through every season.
Outer West Students New Year Kickoff
Starting January 7, 2026 Outer West Students is back! Middle and high school students join us Wednesday nights from 6:30–8:30 p.m.
If your student has ever felt like the Bible is confusing, intimidating, or hard to understand, we are kicking off the new year with a series that will help them see how it fits together and why it matters for everyday life.
Outer West Classes
Classes create opportunities to grow in spiritual practices, deepen your understanding of faith, and gain wisdom for everyday life.
Whether you are new to faith or have followed Jesus for years, these classes are places to belong and grow together.
This session we’re offering a variety of classes designed to meet you right where you are:
Emotionally Healthy Spirituality (EHS)
Learn how to slow down, embrace emotional health, and deepen your relationship with Jesus through an 8-week journey.
Rooted
Go on a 10-week discipleship journey where faith moves from head knowledge to daily rhythms that transform your life.
Sabbath Sunday
Several years ago we made the intentional decision to rest during the last week of each year. It’s a chance to practice rhythms of work and rest together as a community of faith - volunteers, staff, and congregation.
Therefore, we will not have Worship Services on 12/28/25 and our offices will be closed 12/25-12/28.
In case of emergency, call or text 210-807-5400 and we’ll respond as soon as reasonably practical.
Christmas Eve at Outer West
Join us Christmas Eve, December 24th, for a special candlelight service remembering Jesus’ birth.
We will have three services 2:30pm, 4:00pm, and 5:30pm.
Outer West Kids will be available for kids (3 months through 5th grade). Special needs program available by request.
Advent Night of Worship
Come join us Wednesday, December 10th at 6:30pm for a special Advent and Christmas night of worship and prayer.
We’ll sing classic Christmas hymns, pray, and create space to be still in God’s presence—together as a church family.

The Affordable Christmas Drive
This Christmas season, Outer West is partnering with The GoodHood to help make Christmas a joyful and affordable experience for families on San Antonio’s Eastside.
Affordable Christmas empowers parents by giving them the opportunity to purchase brand new gifts for their children at a fraction of the retail cost. Through toy and cash donations, The GoodHood creates a store where gifts are priced at about one-tenth of their original value. Families are then invited to shop, choose the perfect presents, and experience the joy of providing for their own kids on Christmas morning.
You can take part by donating new, unwrapped toys or giving financially to help stock the store. Together, we can help make Christmas brighter for families in our city—one gift, one story, one act of love at a time.
Child Dedication & Class

Fall Food Drive
This fall, we’re partnering with the San Antonio Food Bank to help meet a growing need in our community.
Many families are feeling the strain of reduced food assistance programs, and together we can help fill the gap.
From now through November 24, bring non-perishable food items to OWCC to help stock the food bank and feed our neighbors.

Trunk or Treat
Join us for Trunk Or Treat at Outer West!
Bring the whole family out on Friday, October 24th, from 6PM-8PM for an evening packed with fun, food, and candy! Stroll through our parking lot filled with creatively decorated trunks, some mini games, and more. Plus, kids can fill their bags with candy or small toys at each stop! Come hungry—food trucks will be onsite! And don’t forget to dress up in your favorite costume and make some sweet memories with us. We can’t wait to see you there!
We're also looking for Trunk Hosts to make our event special to members of the community who visit. Trunk Hosts decorate their vehicle trunk with friendly/fun decorations, games, face painting, costumes, etc. that engage children as they walk around our parking lot. Hosts give out candy or a small toy to kids as they stop at their trunk.
Foster Info Gathering
The South Texas Alliance for Orphans educates and equips churches to support children and families affected by the foster care system in numerous ways. Believing that every church has a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, they provide essential resources and guidance to foster meaningful change.
Join us October 12th at 12:30 PM as we host The Alliance and discuss how each of us can join in ending the crisis facing foster children and their families in our community.
Lunch and childcare will be provided.

What better way to celebrate Labor Day, Back to School, and the End of Summer than with an OWCC Party?
Join us for Labor Day Bash on Sunday, August 31st, from 10am - 1pm at OWCC.
There’s fun for all ages! We’ll have food trucks, games, bounce houses, water inflatables, and live music.
Kids/Students: bring a towel and swimsuit.

Hill Country Flood Volunteer Oppurtunity
As our Hill Country neighbors work to rebuild after the recent devastating flood, you can make a difference.
Although local volunteer access has been limited due to high demand, Samaritan’s Purse is currently accepting volunteers for same-day and overnight shifts to help with home rebuilding efforts.
