Thanksgiving MEAL BASKETS
This Thanksgiving, partner with us and the SA Hope Center to serve our San Antonio neighbors by providing a Thanksgiving Meal Basket.
Help us reach our goal of supporting 50 families with a basket full of Thanksgiving essentials.
By participating, you’ll be showing Christ’s love in a tangible way, offering families the blessing of a warm holiday meal and reminding them they are not alone.

Christmas Eve at Outer West
Join us Christmas Eve, December 24th, for a special candlelight service remembering Jesus’ birth.
We will have three services 2pm, 3:30pm, and 5pm.
Outer West Kids will be available for kids (3 months through 5th grade). Special needs program available by request.
Don’t forget to grab some hot chocolate, home made cookies and listen to the carolers on your way out!
Guatemala Mission Trip
Through our partnership with Food for the Hungry, twice a year our church sends a team of people
to our partner community in Guatemala, Acamal I.
We’re excited that our next trip will be on February 9-16, 2025.

Trunk or Treat
Join us for Trunk Or Treat at Outer West!
Bring the whole family out on Friday, October 25th, from 5PM-7PM for an evening packed with fun, food, and candy! Stroll through our parking lot filled with creatively decorated trunks, some mini games, and more. Plus, kids can fill their bags with candy or small toys at each stop! Come hungry—food trucks will be onsite! And don’t forget to dress up in your favorite costume and make some sweet memories with us. We can’t wait to see you there!
We're also looking for Trunk Hosts to make our event special to members of the community who visit. Trunk Hosts decorate their vehicle trunk with friendly/fun decorations, games, face painting, costumes, etc. that engage children as they walk around our parking lot. Hosts give out candy or a small toy to kids as they stop at their trunk.
Fall 2024 Baptisms
Here at Outer West Community Church, we like to say that baptism is an outward expression of an inward change - a way to share your faith in Jesus publicly. Being baptized shows others that you've decided to follow Jesus and allows others to celebrate the decision with you.

Partnership Gathering
Join us for the 2024 OWCC Partnership Gathering, where we'll enjoy dinner together, share stories, provide important updates, and look ahead to the future. This will be our only Partnership Gathering of the year, so we encourage you to make every effort to join us.
The event will take place offsite at a nearby event center, so childcare won’t be available. However, we’re offering childcare reimbursement for all Partners who attend.

Parenting in the early stages can be challenging, but with the right guidance and intentionality,
parents can help to build a strong spiritual foundation for their children.
That's why we're excited to invite you, as parents, to register for our Fall Child Dedication service on September 22, 2024.
To take part in Child Dedication, parents must attend our Child Dedication Parent class on September 15, 2024, immediately following the end of second service.

Foster Care Info Meeting
The South Texas Alliance for Orphans educates and equips churches to support children and families affected by the foster care system in numerous ways. Believing that every church has a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, they provide essential resources and guidance to foster meaningful change.
Join us September 15th at 5:30 PM as we host The Alliance and discuss how each of us can join in ending the crisis facing foster children and their families in our community.

Labor Day Bash
What better way to celebrate Labor Day, Back to School, and the End of Summer than with an OWCC Party?
Join us for Labor Day Bash on Sunday, September 1st, from 10am - 1pm at OWCC.

Habitat For Humanity Home Build
Join us in our annual Serve SA initiative where we serve alongside local mission partners doing good work in San Antonio.
Outer West is pleased to partner with Habitat for Humanity in constructing wall panels for Habitat Homes in the Rancho Carlota subdivision,
located near Toyota Field. And here's the exciting part: Habitat for Humanity is bringing all the essential materials, tools, and equipment to Outer West,
allowing us to construct the walls on-site.
Believe it or not, no construction skills are necessary!
Volunteers must be 14 years old or older and must have a signed waiver from a legal guardian.
Volunteer registration closes August 26th.
Fall Groups & Classes
At OWCC, we value meeting in smaller groups to draw closer to Jesus Christ and to each other.
Our Groups meet in the fall and spring, typically consisting of 6-12 people.
Life Groups provide welcoming and hospitable environments for studying scripture and discussing life's issues, celebrations, and challenges. Members of Life Groups support one another through prayer and care.
We also offer several Classes and Support Groups covering topics such as faith, grief, recovery, marriage, finances, divorce, and food.
SA Food Bank Fresh Food Distribution
Outer West is proud to collaborate with the San Antonio Food Bank to provide fresh and non-perishable food items to support local families in need.
FRESH FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Our gate opens to the public at 8:15 AM.
The Food Distribution will run from 9:00 - 11:00 AM, however distribution will close earlier if food has been fully distributed.
RECEIVE FOOD
Any person(s) experiencing food insecurity are welcome to pick up food boxes.
Food is available for any person/family in need; you do not need to be a member or attendee of Outer West.
Please register in advance to receive food. Registration closes on Thursday, August 22nd, or when capacity is reached.
If you are unable to register beforehand, you can come directly to Outer West on Saturday, August 24th, where onsite registration will be available.

Food For the hungry | child sponsorship
We have an opportunity to change the lives of 60 children in rural Guatemala!
Food for the Hungry (FH) is an international mission agency with the purpose of following God’s call responding to human suffering and graduating communities from extreme poverty.
And in partnership with FH, Outer West has a long-term relationship with a small village in Guatemala called Acamal 1. Our partnership consists of child sponsorship, short-term mission trips, and prayer.
Your $38 commitment per month helps send a child to school in Acamel 1. Beyond that, your financial commitment will support your child's family and village. And, get this, you will have the opportunity to exchange handwritten letters with him/her and meet him/her in person if you go on a short-term trip with us!
To sponsor a child, please follow these steps:
(1) Attend in-person services on Sunday, August 18th, to pick up a child sponsorship packet.
(2) If not able to attend or you watch online, pleas email info@outerwest.org to reserve a packet.

We can't wait to enjoy a great morning of fun, friendship, and a delicious light brunch together! Bring a friend!
Cost is FREE!
Our Zumba instructor will provide step-by-step instructions. Please wear comfortable, athletic clothes and closed-toe shoes. Bring a water bottle. All women are welcome, and girls 14 and up are invited to join us with a parent/guardian present (age minimum per instructor recommendation). A waiver is required for all participants. Sorry, no childcare available.
Light Brunch Menu: A mini quiche and yogurt berry parfait, coffee, and/or water. (Please feel free to bring your own items or snacks for your dietary preferences or restrictions.)

Outer West is gathering 200 pairs of shoes and 200 packages of socks for students at Westwood Terrace Elementary School.
These donations will be distributed to the students during their Back-to-School-Night in August.
Bring your donations to the OWCC lobby.

We've reserved two indoor, air-conditioned courts at Chicken N Pickle. No prior experience with pickle ball is required.

Sabbath Sunday
The Fourth of July provides an opportunity to reflect on our country's history, the struggles for independence, and the sacrifices made by those who fought for freedom.
It’s also a natural rhythm in our culture where we can rest and spend extra time with friends and family.
In light of the long holiday weekend and to show our appreciation for the incredible volunteers who serve each Sunday,
we will not be hosting services for children or adults over Fourth of July weekend.

Outer West is hosting a Blood Drive alongside our friends at South Texas Blood & Tissue on April 21st, 9 AM - 2 PM. Donations are by appointment only.

Food Truck Friday
Join us for this free Fiesta-themed Food Truck Friday event! April 19th, 5PM - 8PM.
In addition to some of the best food trucks around, we’ll have live music from San Antonio favorite, David Selbo. We’ll also have inflatables and a family friendly movie playing in the Worship Center. Oh, Bingo and a free throw contest.
Bring 10 non-perishable food items and get a free Outer West Fiesta Medal! All donated food will benefit our local mission partner, San Antonio Food Bank.
